Ray of hope for Ranchi dancers

Ranchiities have always show keen interest in extra curriculum activities and now they have platform available to shake at bigger level.

The city has gathered a sizable number of dancing institutes and making available best possible training. Pazeb Dance Institute, Saroj Dancing Academy, Natraj Dancing School, Alisha Dance Academy, Rag Rang Dancing Institute and Jhankar Dance Academy are few to be named here.

Artists of the city besides the classes are now also getting a chance in the form of reality shows. For the first time in Ranchi a dance reality show “Chance for dance” grand finale is going to be held at Manan Vidhya School auditorium on Saturday whose basic aim is to provide Bollywood platform to these contestants.

legendary choreographer Saroj Khan and Dance India Dance (DID) reality show winner cum actor of ABCD movie  Dharmesh Yelande are coming down to Ranchi to judge this reality show. This show will be like a glimpse of hope to get the talent proficiency recognise.

Owner of Saroj Khan Dance Academy in Ranchi and organiser of the dance reality show, Suman Kumar said, “I am working with Saroj Khan in Bollywood from last ten years and I have struggled a lot. Earlier I used to run Jhankar dancing institute in Ranchi before leaving for Mumbai.

Then I realised that many people of Ranchi are also having good potential in dance and what they lack is a proper platform to execute their talent.

As many dance show auditions are held in metro cities many best dancers of Ranchi cannot show their talent.”

Earlier dance institutes only focused on teaching dance but later when dancers of Ranchi like Alisha runner up of DID season one reality show, Somaya  and  Shalini contestant of DID season two and Abhash and Abheek Mujherjee of Just Dance came into the limelight then a fresh atmosphere created.

Choreographer of Pazeb dance institute Sidharth Singh Negi said, “Now-a-days choreography is turning into Chorioghaphy as everyone is imitating the others.  Dance style like hip hop, cockroach style are popular so everyone is following it new creativity is not been admired.”

He further added, “These type of reality show definitely boost up the skills of dancers but it has been seen that once when the students attain the limelight then they did not give the actually credit to their mentors instead they tell it is because of their hard work that they have come up through this position which is really heart breaking for the mentors”.
