“Total of three members as a team is working from last one month in order to repair, fix and paint the Rath for the grand procession. Wood which is used for constructing the Rath is donated by the devotees. The Rath is 22 feet by length and 24 feet by breadth. It consists of total eight numbers of wheels which are metal platted. This time we have made ‘Pari Bhara’ at the top of the Rath which is totally new and the cloth decoration will be done to make it look beautiful. The wheels get hot when it rolls on the street and can catch fire, to prevent this we keep applying curd and water on the wheels for its smooth functioning,” said the in charge of the Rath, Mahaveer lohar
