Ranchi youth shot dead

Anand Kujur (24), resident of Kanke, Ranchi was shot dead near PTPS Patratu Dam under Basla police station by unknown culprits on Sunday. After killing Anand, the two assailants fled the scene on his motorcycle (JH 01BC 3931). Police is interrogating his lady friend, who also belongs to Ranchi and was with him during the incident.

“The couple was sitting near the temple beside the dam when the culprits came and asked for their names and addresses then shot the victim. One of them was in his forties and the other was younger. Then they took off with the motorcycle,” informed police sources.“Bike theft cannot be the motive behind this killing as there were other motorcycles parked in the vicinity of the crime scene and Kujur’s two-wheeler was two years old. They might have taken the bike to flee or misdirect the investigation,” they further stated.
