Ranchi has got another chance of hosting India International Mega Trade Fair from May 5 to 15 in 2015. Credit goes to the overwhelming response of this year’s 10 day long India International Mega Trade Fair which concluded at Morhabadi ground on Monday. A three day International Business Summit is also scheduled prior to next year’s trade fair.
Sharing the information with the mediapersons at the closing ceremony, GS Marketing President SD Gupta, the main organizer of this trade fair across India said, “Over six lakh visitors witnessed this fair. The cooperation from FJCCI, CREDAI, local small scale industries and government was praiseworthy. This has proved there is a good market at Ranchi for the global as well as Indian traders.”
“Only few foreign countries like Pakistan, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Thailand and Turkey could make it up in this fair. But, next year as many as 15 countries including China, Singapore, Malaysia, Sri lanka, Bhutan, Egypt, Iran and Japan besides the mentioned five nations have confirmed their participation,” Gupta added.
Highlighting over the Business Summit, Gupta said that it will open avenues in Jharkhand for investors around the globe. Supporting Gupta, the fair co-organizer Federation of Jharkhand Chamber of Commerce and Industries (FJCCI) President Bikash Kumar Singh said, “The first of its kind fair here has impressed the local traders. So, we have decided to put up different hangers of local traders in the next Mega Trade Fair. We request the state government to allow us for utilizing the Army land near this Morhabadi ground. The military force was given this piece of land long back on temporary basis during a War period.” Notably, this mega trade fair was earlier scheduled in the month of March. Organizers had submitted an amount of Rs 2 lakh 60,000 to the district administration. “We are grateful that Ranchi DC Vinay Kumar Choubey transferred the submitted amount for this month,” a member of FJCCI said.
