Ranchi Police is on alert mode after a video that went viral in Hindpiri on Thursday. On Friday, a flag march was taken out on the main road under the leadership of Ranchi Deputy Commissioner (DC), Rahul Sinha and Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Kishor Kaushal regarding the security arrangements.
Apart from the main road, flag marches were taken out in many areas including Dorda. DC and SP appealed to the people to make peace.
Under the chairmanship of Sadar SDO Deepak Dubey, a meeting of the Central Peace Committee was held on Thursday, in which the topics related to upcoming festivals and maintaining social harmony in the Sadar sub-division area were discussed. It was told by the administrative and police officials present in the meeting that special monitoring is being done by the district administration on social media. Strict action will be taken against those who try to disturb social harmony and make inflammatory/objectionable posts/messages/comments on social media. An appeal was also made to the members of the Central Peace Committee to cooperate with the district administration in taking this message to the people.
Police force has been deployed every step of the way from Albert Ekka Chowk to Sujata Chowk. Around 2500 police force has been deployed to prevent any utoward incident take place. The senior Administrative officers of Ranchi district are keeping an eye on the whole matter.
As soon as the information was received, Ranchi Police tightened the security system by issuing an alert. Some people have also been detained for trying to disturb the peace. In this case, Hindpiri, Lower Bazar, Daily Market, Kotwali and Doranda police stations have been put on alert.
It may be mentioned here that, after the controversial statement of Nupur Sharma, there was violence in Ranchi. When the situation worsened, the police had to use force. Two youths also lost their lives during the clash that day. Meanwhile, after the statement of the BJP MLA in Hyderabad, efforts are being made to spoil the atmosphere again, but the police are on full alert mode.
