Boosting up morale of the BJP workers in the State ahead of the Assembly elections, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Tuesday said that there is need to have a BJP Government in the State in order to bring about speedy development.
Singh, who was on a day’s visit to the State, while addressing the party workers at the BJP headquarters, also appealed them to work hard in order to form a majority Government in the State.
“I congratulate you all for securing 12 out of 14 lok Sabha seats in the State but forming a BJP Government only at the Centre will not do. We also need to form BJP Government in Jharkhand also if we really want to come up to the expectations of the people of the State,” said Singh. People have great expectations from us and we will have to take up the challenge, he added.
“We all need to take a pledge that we will put in all our efforts to form a majority Government of BJP in Jharkhand,” Singh said. Senior BJP leaders, including former Chief Minister Arjun Munda, Union Minister for State for social justice Sudarshan Bhagat, Raghubar Das, Bhupendra Yadav were also present on the occasion.
Referring to the achievements of the Modi Government at the Centre, Singh said that credibility of this Government has improved on the world map and the Prime Minister has been able to project the actual picture of ‘21st Century India’ before the world.
“It happened for the first time in the history of India that the head of the States from almost every neighboring country were present during the oath taking ceremony of the Prime Minister,” he said. The Prime Minister is being welcomed everywhere in the world, added Singh.
Calling poverty as the biggest challenge before the Country, the Home Minister also said that Modi Government has tried to ensure at least one lakh of life insurance to everyone with the introduction of Jan Dhan Yojana at the occasion of Independence Day.
“In order to increase job opportunities in India, we are making efforts so that more and more foreign investments are done in the country,” added Singh. Companies from across the world are being tried to bring in here for investments, he added.
Referring to the forthcoming Assembly elections in Jharkhand, Singh said that the Modi Government has succeeded in winning the confidence of the people in the country; now it is the responsibility of party workers in Jharkhand to make efforts to form a majority Government. “It seems that you people have already started preparations for it in order to bring in speedy development. 2/3rd majority is a must in Jharkhand,” he said.
