As Rajiv Gandhi, former prime minister was remembered on his 69th birth anniversary all over the Bermo coal city including Phusro, Bokaro-Thermal, and Gomia.
State minister Rajendra Prasad Singh and speaker State assembly Shesank Shekhar Bhokata garlanded Rajiv Gandhi's photograph at Phusro Kargali football ground while working president, Giridih lok-sabha Kumar Gaurav attended a small ceremony near Phusro officer club .
Speaking as the chief guest at the 69th birth anniversary of Rajiv Gandhi at the Kargali football ground here which was organized by youth congress, state energy minister and Bermo MlA, Rajendra Prasad Singh said our countrymen are yet to achieve the path shown by Rajiv Gandhi, who dedicated himself for the country. We had followed the path shown by the former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi; the picture of India. today would have been totally different.
The youth congress also organized a rally which started from Hindustan bridge and marched to the Kargali football ground. A large number of school students, teachers youths participated in the rally. The trade unions like INTUC celebrated the birth anniversary of former prime-minister Rajiv Gandhi at Kathara union office, where Hansraj Prasad and other trade union leaders paid homage to Rajiv Gandhi.
Meanwhile, local political leaders paid floral tribute to Ex-Prime Minster Rajiv Gandhi idol in a function organized in Gomia ,Bokaro Thermal, on the day.
