Sainik School Telaiya celebrated its 52nd founder’s day on Tuesday reaching another milestone in its illustrious journey of 52 years.
Col VK Bhat Principal of the school paid floral tributes to the immortal telaiyans at the war memorial. Thereafter in a simple programme he garlanded the statue of lt Col lEG Smith, the founding Principal of the school. On this occasion the principal reminded the cadets the ethos and spirit of the school. After the cake cutting ceremony, Col Bhat gave away prizes to meritorious cadets.
Ashoka House was crowned the academic champions and were also the winner of the Cock House trophy. In his address to the cadets, Principal Bhat stressed on the need to strive for higher realms of academic excellence and motivated telaiyan family towards working for bringing more laurels to the school. In the same vein, he congratulated the recipient of prestigious President’s Award, Dhananjay Kumarand call on the staffs to excel in their duties for such laurels are bound to follow.
