Railway has set up an Inquiry committee to probe the Pradhankhanta accident that claimed four lives on Tuesday night while pushing for construction of underpass.
The death occurred due to mudslide while a goods train was passing and that fell on workers claiming their lives .
According to a notification issued by Dhanbad divisional railways here senior DEN - Estate Rakesh Kumar would hold inquiry into the incident that caused diversion of several trains from other routes besides cancellation of several due to the stir that sparked off following the incident . The Gaya - Howrah grand chord tracks remained blocked for over 10 hours from Tuesday night till Wednesday morning .
The officer has been asked to inquire into three points that include immediate cause of accident , fix responsibility and prepare a report so that such incidents do not take place in future.
TheRs 3.51 crore underpass was to be made operational by September this year but due to incident work has been suspended ..
In another move district police too have filed a case against the contract after recovery of bodies.
