Koderma MP Dr. Ravindra Kumar Rai today demand rail related grants for Jharkhand. Speaking in the lok Sabha Rai urged to establish Railway Zonal office in Dhanbad.
He urged the government to roll back the present Flexi fare system implemented on Rajdhani express. Rai also demanded to connect Dhanbad-Ranchi railway line with ‘Mainline’ and ‘Grand Cord line’.
Rai requested to sanction a new railway line between Madhupur and Dhanbad via Giridih which will save four hours journey time to the passengers, a new rail line between Chatra-Gaya and Daltonganj –Gaya. He also requested EMU trains for Garwa-Ranchi and Koderma-Ranchi route along with a new Jan Shatabdi express on Dumka-Ranchi route. MP also demanded the construction of platforms on Koderma-Giridih railway lines and foot over bridges at Choudharybag, Chichaki, Choubey and Herodih.
