Terming it eyewash, senior BJP leader Raghuwar Das has criticised the 13-point Common Minimum Programme (CMP) released by Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Monday.
At a Press conference on Tuesday, the Jamshedpur East legislator said the Congress was ‘remote controlling’ the State and that development would soon take a backseat.
“Though the Government has emphasised maintaining secular and progressive values, I have little faith on the promises made. The very foundation of the Government is based on mistrust and people do not expect much from ruling parties,” noted Das.He pointed out that the Government had been formed for mutual benefits and had nothing to do with State welfare.
Das also alleged that the dispensation had been built on manipulation and money power; a Government formed for personal gains and hidden agendas. Accusing the Congress of betraying the people of Jharkhand, Das said the party had intentionally continued President’s Rule for so long. Nonetheless, Das assured that the BJP would play the role of a responsible Opposition and raise issues concerning people’s welfare.
