The Bokaro police on Friday arrested Kauleshwar Singh, the first accused in the murder of a contractor Raghunandan Singh, 45 days after the sensational murder rocked the city. Raghunandan Singh was shot to death at his house on October 29, 2018.
Police said that Kauleshwar Singh (47) of Gaichhanda village under Jaridih police station was arrested from his house by the joint team led by Rajit Kumar of Kasmar PS and Officer in-Charge of Jaridih police station, Rupesh Kumar Dubey. Bokaro superintendent of police Kartik S said that Kauleshwar Singh was one of the notorious criminal and had been interrogated by the investigation team. He confessed his involvement to committed the crime, said the SP. Kauleshwar Singh told the police that the decision to eliminate Raghunandan Singh was taken when he had refused to manage a land dispute. The shooters did a recce a month before committing the crime. Police recovered local made pistol and few cartridges from him.
