Raghubar urges Guv to set up women varsity in Steel city

Former Chief Minister of Jharkhand Shri Raghubar Das called on Governor Ramesh Bais on Wedneday. The former Chief Minister submitted a memorandum urging to start the Women's College and Professional College in Jamshedpur soon. It has been said in this memorandum that the Jamshedpur Women's College was inaugurated online by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 03.02.2019 by promoting it to Jamshedpur Women's University under RUSA.

The building of Jamshedpur Women's University, which is located in the campus of Sidgora, was also completed and the building was inaugurated on 29.12.2021.

Even after the above action, work is not being done by establishing Jamshedpur as Women's University. It is noteworthy that for the year 2021-22, the enrollment of girl students was done in the form of Jamshedpur Women's University in Chancellor's Portal, Ranchi. But the girl students are appearing as the students of Jamshedpur Women's College. The new session of the year 2022-23 will start from July. In such a situation, the interest and academic career of the girl students will be affected.

The former Chief Minister requested to appoint Vice-Chancellor, Registrar, Finance Officer, Finance Consultant and adequate teachers and non-teaching staff for all departments in Jamshedpur Women soon so that Jamshedpur Women's University comes into existence as the first women's university of Jharkhand.

Also Kolhan is an industrial area. Our BJP government had built a professional college with the aim of connecting the youth with employment by promoting skill development in this area. The college building is ready, but for the last two and a half years, the state government has not decided whether it will be run by the state government or it will be operated on PPP mode. Because of this the course has not started yet. Therefore, you are requested to take cognizance of this and issue an order for its operation.
