Chief Minister Raghubar Das on Thursday gave lessons on ‘Good Governance’ to the BJP party workers asking them not to come with transfer-posting recommendations. He also asked party leaders to refrain from indulging in ‘self goals’ and support the administration carry development work. Addressing party workers of his home constituency Jamshedpur East here, he asked BJP cadres to refrain from staging dharna or putting up road blockades unnecessarily, and ensure that Government schemes are implemented efficiently.

He directed the BJP workers to give feedback about the implementation of the welfare schemes meant for the poor. “Our Government will ensure ‘Good Governance’ in the State. For this the party workers must retrain themselves from staging demonstration or hindering Government work. We need to ensure that the development work is carried out smoothly.

However, if they find any irregularities they can raise their voice,” said Das. Before creating uproar they must talk to the authorities concerned and if they are not satisfied they can raise their voice. The Chief Minister also went on to inform that the Government would recruit policemen and appoint 8,000 doctors and teachers soon.

He said that the Government would work efficiently in bringing speedy development, providing basic amenities and improving policing. He also said that ensuring corruption-free governance will be his foremost priority. He also emphasised that his Government would be accountable and ensure rapid development by utilising the abundance of natural resources.

Meanwhile, the CM also said that industries in Jharkhand will spend one per cent of the CSR funds as per their plan and the rest one per cent will be spent as per the directions of the State Government. A meeting in this regard has already been held with the Union Coal Secretary and in near future this norm will continue, he added.

Talking about regularisation of unauthorised settlements in the city, Das said that in a recent trip he had asked for the documents from Delhi Government to study the way through which they have been regularised. He also appealed to the workers to refrain from indulging into too much of dharna and protests because that causes trouble to the people, especially schoolchildren.

He asked the workers to ensure that the administration does its work properly and they could stage protests in peaceful manner without disturbing anyone.

Das also informed the workers that a large number of NRIs from Gujarat were interested in making investment in the State in the field of education, health and industries and thus the people of Jharkhand should prepare a conducive environment for the same.
