Radiologists across Jharkhand will be on a three day protest starting on Monday midnight for 72 hours against the arrest of Dr. Seema Modi- a radiologist on May 28 for allegedly conducting a sex determination test in her clinic in Koderma. The members of IMA Koderma, Ranchi and Jharkhand met State Health Minister, Ramchandra Chandravanshi and demanded an unbiased inquiry within the next three days. “The decision of a strike was taken by the radiologist society. We are putting pressure on the Government and want a committee to be formed for the inquiry. A message to the Secretary of Health Minister has been conveyed that if no steps are taken in three days, then we will take drastic action. The problem is with ultrasonography of pregnant women so we have not stopped the services for any general case but only for pregnant ladies,” said IMA Jharkhand President, Dr. Arun Kumar Singh.
