Republic Day was celebrated with traditional patriotic zeal in Chandrapura Thermal Power Station (CTPS), a unit of Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC). Chief Engineer and Project Head Sunil Kumar Pandey hoisted the flag at the football ground.
Sunil Kumar Pandey, Chief Engineer and Project Head, addressed the crowd; encouraging Chandrapura residents to collaborate with DVC management to secure the city's bright future, he said, “We are ready to take the next step with the rest of us.”
He stated that plans are underway to build a new 800 MW facility here very soon. We must all work together to achieve this goal. DVC management is properly fulfilling its Corporate Social Responsibility requirements.
“We are doing everything, we can help as many individuals as possible in this region. People living unlawfully in decaying houses, he continued, should make their own arrangements. Otherwise, DVC administration would soon demolish all of these decaying houses,” he added.
