A delegation led by Quraishi Conference National President Sanowar Ali Quraishi met Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge in Delhi regarding the uplift of the Quraishi community across the country and various issues related to the community. The delegation met Congress National President Mallikarjun and said that the Qureshi community has a population of approximately 8 crores across the country. According to this population, participation of the community in the politics of the country should be ensured and seats should be allotted to the community in the Lok Sabha as per the population and in the state assemblies too, posts in the Congress Party and seats in the assemblies should be allotted in proportion to the population of the Quraishi community at the state level. At the same time, people of the Quraishi community across the country discussed the problems arising in their profession and unnecessary government obstacles and discussed the work and plans to be done by the organization in the coming times.
He also demanded to run special schemes in Congress ruled states for the upliftment and development of the Qurayshi community across the country. The delegation demanded that the Congress Party should also demand from the Central Government for the upliftment of the Qureshi community across the country and for education, health and employment and should work at the grassroots level for the development of the community.
The delegation also discussed with the National President of Congress regarding the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. National Vice President of Quraishi Conference, Haji Afsar Quraishi said that the organization is making continuous efforts for the education, health, employment and community development of the Qureshi community across the country. Under the leadership of the organization, complex issues of the community are being resolved and by establishing coordination with the government, the development of the society is being accelerated.
