The nexus of private nursing homes and pimps active in Sadar hospital and Sahiyaaj has been exposed once again in Hazaribagh on Saturday after a newborn was rescued on Saturday from Khushi nursing home Nawabganj due to the quick response of sadar MlA Manish Jaiswal and DC Mukesh Kumar.

On Saturday morning Vinod Murmu of village Gondwar of Churchu block reached to MlA’s local town office with a complain that the owner of Khushi Nursing home refused to hand him over his newborn after he failed to pay the heavy bill amount. Murmu said that he and his wife came to Hazaribagh with local sahiya on November 17 for delivery.

After preliminary tests in Sadar Hospital, some persons including sahiya told him that my wife’s condition is critical and advised him to shift her to Khushi Nursing home. Next day, my wife gave birth to a twin through operation. But  one of them died.

When he sought decharge letter, nursing home authorities told him first to pay Rs40,000. When he said that he is not in a position to pay such a huge amount then they asked him to leave the baby.

MlA Manish Jaiswal immediately alerted DC Mukesh Kumar who responded quickly and sent an officer Pranav Paul to solve the matter. Paul rescued the baby and handed over to parents. He later found that the nursing home was running illegally. As per DC’s direction, officials sealed the nursing home.
