With the deadline for complying to the notice to private schools for submitting details before the inquiry committee holding inquiry into minority students scholarship scam ended today, the Jharkhand Private Schools Association (JPSA) has levelled allegations of torture by the inquiry committee.

Irfan Khan district secretary of the JPSA Dhanbad unit alleged that the school management is being tortured in the name of investigation by the investigation team.

“The scam has been committed by the welfare department in connivance with select staff of the education department.the inquiry committee is not considering this neither has shown interest in search of the beneficiary but has issued instructions of furnishing full details of everything within a very short period.

Even those who appeared before the committee were allegedly misbehaved by them though they are ready to cooperate,” alleged Khan.

The organisation would take a joint decision on course of action during its next meeting scheduled in December, he said.

Meanwhile, it has come to that in the current financial year  9595 minority students were issued Rs 10,700 each  out of 12,346 . The remaining were paid in-between Rs 1000 to Rs 10600 depending upon the so called eligibility. It’s alleged that the majority of this went to fake students .
