JTET qualified para teachers protesting near Raj Bhawan met Principal Secretary to CM, Sanjay Kumar on Friday on the issue of job regularization. Notably, these eligible candidates are protesting for their rights since May 2. Though the protesting group has received assurance from the Principal Secretary but the decision is pending as only after discussing the matter with the School Education and literacy Department Secretary, the final decision will be considered.

“We have received positive response from Principal Secretary but only after having conversation with the concerned department Secretary the final decision will be taken on the issue. As we fulfill all the required criteria for appointment, chances are there that we might get our rights. After facing disappointment from all side, this meeting gave us some positive hope. Principal Secretary too has assured that he will also speak to HRD Minister on the matter,” said state convener of JTET qualified para teacher association, Bajrang Prasad.

Earlier, para-teachers’ conversation with the Secretary, Education Minister on job regularisation had failed. The eligible teachers earlier were assured that they will be recruited within the stimulated time, after the teacher’s delegation met the School Education and literacy Secretary in January 2016 in the presence of Gumla MlA Shivshankar Oraon.
