The on going fast by former ward councillor Manoj Saw for reopening of level crossing near Bhaga Railway station ,that is part of Adda - Going railway line under Adda division of South Eastern Railway( SER), finally yielded today with divisional railway manager ( DRM) assurance to get it opened within a months time .
The assurance was given by DRM Manish Kumar through a press release sent to BJP MLA Raj Sinha who had held discussions on this issue with railway authorities as well as the district authorities . Raj and other BJP leaders had met Manoj on Tuesday and had held telephonic discussions with the DRM on this issue.
Today both Dhanbad MP PN Singh and Raj Sinha reached fasting spot and offered coconut water to Manoj who on assurance based on the letter withdrew his fast.
Manoj said, "I was forced to sit on fast to protest the alleged delaying tactics of railways that had closed the road about 18 months ago for construction of Road overbridge.but had shown no interest in construction of bridge. This had forced leke to travel an additional 8 kms to reach the other side of the level crossing."
The Dhanbad MLA said, DRM has assured to open traffic on this level crossing within a month's time as ROB construction was not possible due to the water pipe line . Repairs of road and tracks would be completed within the given time assured the DRM.
