Empowering women is the most important gift in the world. Following this dictum, at least 36 promising women of Jharkhand who have achieved great heights in their respective fields would be felicitated by ‘Rudra Events’.
The women achievers will be felicitated in ‘Mahila Samman Samaroh’ organised by Rudra Events— an NGO. With an aim to empower local women this programme is scheduled on 17 and 18 October at Bokaro Steel City, said Piyus Rai, member of the NGO.The country’s first woman IPS officer Kiran Bedi and Bollywood singer Alka Yagnik would also participate in the programme, informed Rai , adding, “Kiran Bedi will lead the Mega Road Show during the inaugural eve of the event”.
“We are working for the society and keen to felicitate the promising women in their respective fields since 2008, Rai said.
“The motto of the event is to felicitate those women of the state who has contributed in every field. The contribution of the women in our society is immense, who help their sons, husbands, brothers as well as society silently and tirelessly, he said. The selected women would be felicitated in two categories. Eighteen women will be felicitated in Group–A’ get Rs21,000 cash with a bi-cycle, Shari, Shawal, Certificate along with a Memento while in Group–B 18 would also be felicitated; get Rs3000 cash, a Swing Machine, Certificate and a Memento, he informed.
“Classification has been made as per contribution in the field of education, health, growth, sports, eradication of poverty, fighting for women equality, rural development including others”, he added.
