He said that 20,000 vacant posts of Assistant Sub Inspectors (ASIs) and teachers will also be filled up very soon. The Chief Minister was speaking at the inaugural ceremony of Staff Selection Commission’s new Building at Namkum.
“In addition to that, filling up of 13,000 posts in various departments has also been started by the State Staff Selection Commission. A recruitment calendar has been published for the year 2013,” said the CM.
The Chief Minister said that the year 2016-17 will be the year of recruitment as development of the State gets hampered due to shortage of manpower.
“Had the regular recruitments been done in the State, all 16 examinations of Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) would have been conducted so far. The SSC would have also conducted several examinations,” said the CM. Officials and other staff of SSC will be able to work attentively after the construction of this building, he added.
The CM expected that now the SSC will hold all the examinations on time and also vacancies will be filled up soon.
The CM further added that positive steps are being taken to fill up the vacancies by JPSC after the domicile policy for the state was put in place.
“Besides the provisions of reservation for the tribal youths in the Constitution of India, only the local youths of district will be eligible for the third and fourth grade jobs,” the CM said. The local tribal population will also get benefitted with this, he added.
According to the CM, in order to pave way for more and more tribal students in JPSC examinations, tribal languages have also been included into it. This government was committed to provide more and more jobs for the youths in the state, added the CM.
