The Hazaribagh district administration has fixed the target of March 31 to bring the entire city under CCTV surveillance. Sites have been selected and installation work of cement poles has started. In first phase all the important market areas are going to come under the focus of these CCTV cameras.
As per the information for the completion of first phase of installation of CCTV cameras in the city the deadline has been fixed as February 15. The pace of work assures that by February 15 almost all the important areas of Hazaribagh town will become visible by lens eye. The administration has tried to cover almost the entire area of Ramnavmi festival procession route, where every year there remains a challenge to maintain law and order situation. The same route is used in other festivals also so installation of CCTV cameras in this route by February 15 will certainly help in meeting the challenge.
SP Anup Birthare has also appealed to the shop owners of the town to install CCTV cameras in their business organizations and after the initiative of district administration more and more people will come forward to install CCTV cameras to make the town safer.Hazaribagh administration was trying since long to install CCTV cameras in entire city to keep eye on notorious and criminal elements.
