Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee Chairman cum State Finance Minister Dr. Rameshwar Oraon today said that before the Assembly elections in five states, it was predicted by him that after the commencement of elections, the prices of petrol, diesel and cooking gas will increase. It will happen and once the elections are over, people will again have to bear the brunt of inflation. This prediction is proving true today. The state president was informally interacting with journalists at his residential office in Ranchi on Saturday.

Dr Oraon said that since the start of the voting process since February 27, there was no increase in the price of petrol and diesel till the election results, but after the election results, the BJP-led coalition government at the Center has given people of the country the gift of inflation once again. Now, the price of petrol and diesel is increasing by 20 to 30 paise per day. Due to the increase in the price of petrol and diesel, the prices of oil, pulses and other essential commodities are also increasing exponentially. Mustard oil has risen above Rs 180 per liter, with pulses production being higher even as prices have been steadily increasing with increased transportation charges. This has completely messed up the budget of poor and middle class kitchens.

He said that there is chaos in the country due to the spread of Coronavirus infection, while the increased price of petrol and diesel has elevated the difficulties. The Central government is responsible for black marketing, but the Central government is turning back from its obligations.

State Congress spokesperson Alok Kumar Dubey said that according to the Center for Monitoring Indian Economy, CMIE, the unemployment rate has reached around 8 per cent in April. During the second wave of the Corona epidemic, due to the wrong policies of the Central Government, the employment of 7.5 lakh people was lost in the country in April and the unemployment rate is at the highest level of 4 months.

State Congress spokesperson Lal Kishorenath Shahdev said that the Central government has worked to destroy the entire nation's system, a system has been developed keeping in mind the sensitivity and interest of its bourgeois friends beyond humanity, In which there is no heart, there is a stone, this system is not loved by the people, it is loved by its bourgeois friends.

State Congress spokesperson Dr. Rajesh Gupta and Amulya Neeraj Khalkho said that in the second wave of global corona epidemic, people's employment has been snatched, in such a situation the problems of people have increased due to rising prices of essential commodities. The Central Government should immediately withdraw the increase in the price of petrol and diesel and curb black marketing.
