Chief Secretary RS Sharma today reviewed the machine proposed to be used in the PDS.
While reviewing the process and machine CS said the system should be simple to operate and use. The system should not be made complex by asking irrelevant information, added Sharma. CS expressed unhappiness over delay in the work and said that the coding should avoid any inconvenience to a consumer in the absence of Aadhaar number. CS also gave instructions to ensure that data stored is protected and enough safe-guards must be incorporated in the software to prevent hacking by vested interests.
