President's programme altered due to board exams in city

The timing of the Platinum Jubilee celebrations to be held on February 15 at BIT Mesra has been changed. President Draupadi Murmu is going to attend this program. Earlier this program was to start at 10 am, but now it has been done at 11 am.

This change has been made due to the Jharkhand Academic Council examination. The examination will start at 9:30 am. Barricading would have been done for traffic control on the arrival of the President, due to which the students could have faced difficulty in reaching the examination centre. For this reason, the time of the program of BIT Mesra has been extended by one hour so that the examinees do not face any problem.

The President will reach Ranchi on February 14. Alternative routes have also been decided to keep the traffic smooth during her movement.

The President can go to BIT Mesra from Raj Bhavan via Kanke Road via Ring Road. Arrangements have been made to reach BIT Mesra from Bypass Booti Mor. This change will provide relief to both the candidates and the guests attending the program.

Chief Secretary Alka Tiwari reviewed the preparations for the arrival of President Draupadi Murmu in Ranchi. On this occasion, the Chief Secretary directed the officials to keep the entire system in order during the President's visit as per the protocol.

The Chief Secretary directed to ensure uninterrupted power supply. She also directed the airport director to keep the VIP lounge at Birsa Munda Airport organized.

All the passengers going to the airport on 14 February, whose flights are between 04:00 PM to 05:30 PM, are requested to reach the airport by 03:30 PM. On the other hand, passengers going to the airport on 15 February, whose flights are between 11:00 AM to 01:30 PM, should reach the airport by 11:30 AM.

Matric and Intermediate candidates, whose exam is on 15th February in the first shift, should reach the exam center by 09:30 am. Whereas the second shift candidates should reach the exam center by 12:00 am.
