Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) International Executive President Dr Praveen Bhai Togadia has said that the organisation was very much on the line of providing all the immediate support to any Hindu in distress across the globe, including primary healthcare services.
Addressing business community and VHP supporters-workers of city in Junior Chamber International (JCI) office on Sunday, Togadia said that he was leading the process of appointing thousands of ‘Health Ambassadors’ who would visit door to door in colonies and villages for free check up of lifestyle related diseases like blood pressure, blood sugar and obesity.
“One-third of population in India is suffering from one or the other lifestyle disease. We want Hindu community to get out of it. This is why we have started providing training and instruments to Health Ambassadors, primarily volunteers. We have successfully provided training to 4,000 plus health ambassadors in 34 cities including Patna and New Delhi with a target of nurturing at least one lakh such ambassadors in India,” said Togadia.
Unlike his image of radical Hindu hardliner, Togadia who is also world renowned cancer surgeon with over 10,000 successful surgeries across the globe before he turned a firebrand of Hindu ideology avoided preaching about Hindu and Hinduism in JCI programme organised to felicitate him during his three-day journey to Jharkhand. He said that the organisation had been running some 62,000 plans for well-being of Hindus including funding 20 lakh students for their primary education in country.
Keeping himself close to whatever VHP had been doing as a charity organisation, Togadia said that while VHP wing ‘Blood4India’ was providing over 60,000 units of bloods to anonymous Hindus in country every year, calls made to Hindu Helpline provided all required services to Hindus in distress including a vehicle breakdown in some distant city while on tour to providing immediate medical help to accident sufferers with service satisfactory rate of 99.8 percent during recent years.
“At the same time, our Hindu Advocate Forum is always ready to serve a Hindu in distress who needs legal services at a place where he happens to be familiar to no one. We have got some 10,000 private doctors associated with us in Patna and Ranchi, who are bound to do a free health check up to at least one patient each every day. In a nutshell, any Hindu from anywhere can make a call to our helpline in distress and we are sure of providing him whatever immediate service he/she requires,” said Togadia in JCI programme where JCI President Abhinav Mantri, other office bearers and ex-presidents felicitated him.
However, Togadia appeared with his own texture of words while addressing the media in VHP office later in the day.
Right from Pakistan to Kashmir and from Ram Mandir to cow vigilantism, Togadia slammed all those coming in the way of development of India and Hindu nationalism. He said that Pakistan didn’t deserve any friendship ever and stone-palters on army men in Kashmir only deserved bullets in return. He also said that Ram Mandir in Ayodhya was only a matter of time.
