In yet another reshuffle before general elections, the State Government transferred eight IPS officers, including Ranchi SSP Bheem Sen Tuti, on Friday.
Deoghar SP Prabhat Kumar will replace Tuti while Chatra SP Anoop Birthare has been posted as City SP in Ranchi. Tuti has been shifted to Gumla. Understandably, Tuti, who took charge as SSP Ranchi on November 22 last, had to be shifted within three months on the directive of the Election Commission since Ranchi happened to be his home district.
Tuti, a J&K cadre IPS officer, is basically an electrical engineer from IIT-Kharagpur. He has also worked as an engineer in Indian Railways. Manoj Ratan Chauthe, who was posted as City SP in Ranchi has been made Rail SP in Dhnabad. Prashant Karn has been sent to Chatra as SP while Rakesh Bansal replacing Prabhat Kumar, will take charge as Deoghar SP.
Meanwhile, RK Mallick, IG (Palamau) has been put in charge of Special Task Force (STF) while A Natrajan will replace the former in Palamau.
