Police personnel manning the lower Bazaar police station witnessed one of the most bizarre murder case on Tuesday — murder of eight roosters. Nazma Khatoon, with four of her dead birds, arrived at the police station to file an FIR against her neighbour.
living in Kanta Toli area beside Sushma Devi, Nazma found eight of her hens dead and straightaway suspected her neighbour to be the culprit behind this unforeseen death of her hens. Four of the dead birds were devoured by stray dogs before they can be presented as evidence to the act.
“The plaintiff accused her neighbour of poisoning her birds, but the accused has denied her indulgence in any such act. We are trying to resolve the matter without taking the quarrel any further,” police sources said.
Apparently, the two parties were had lived harmonious relations between them before this incident. “We are in process of filing a FIR, but the two parties are still on talking terms; there might be a chance to resolve this matter without taking any severe steps,” said a police officials of lower Bazaar police station.
