Sending 'rakhi' to brothers will be more convenient this year as the Postal department has decided to arrange special delivery on Sunday as well as on 15 August (holiday for Independence Day) too, to ensure 'rakhi' reach people on time.
We have decided to arrange special delivery on Sunday across the district in order to ensure that rakhis reach to people well on time, said H N Ram Postmaster of Bokaro Head Post Office.
Elaborate arrangements for booking and delivery of Rakhis and Rakhi gifts through a network of Post Offices have been made. "All efforts are being made to ensure delivery of mail on the same day of receipt. Apart from normal mail, we are special mails like rakhi envelopes and there is an increase in the volume of e-commerce articles," added Ram.
"We have also arranged two separate counters (counter no. 8 and 9), only 'rakhi' mails would be booked form those counters," he said.
"In the monsoon season special waterproof rakhi envelopes are also available here," he added.
