Constant change in weather condition and early advent of summer may be a result of combination of factors including El-Nino in the State. The weathermen believe that temperature may fall in the coming days, bringing the weather in its normal condition while at the same time, they are not completely denying early summer-like situation as the fear of heat is gripping fast across the State.

The weathermen believe thanks to the affect of western disturbances (WD) which has been constantly influential temperature is likely to fall in the coming days. “Cloudy sky may be witnessed in the coming days bringing variation in temperature. The main reason for constant change in temperature is the WD and upper layer circulation in Assam. This year the frequency of WD is severely high and its intensity is low.

However, the minimum temperature will drop on Monday and Tuesday bringing some relieve to the people,” informed Forecast officer of Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) Ranchi, Upendra Srivastava.

“On February 25 and 26, there are chances of thundercloud and lightening with drizzle which may also change the weather condition too. Other two vital components which have affected the weather constantly this year are poor monsoon and partial affect of El-Nino in the state,” added Srivastava.

The WD has in the last two months resulted in the constant fluctuation in the temperature in State. Constant snowfall in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh is another vital reason for frequent change in temperature in eastern India especially Jharkhand.

On Sunday, the State capital recorded 31 degree celsius. However, partly cloudy weather brought some amount of relieve in the second half of the day, making Sunday pleasant for the denizens. However, general physicians recommend precautionary measures for the denizens to combat temperature variation. From wearing the right kind of clothing to eating the right kind of food is mandatory to steer clear of infections, particularly of those that are air-borne and viral in nature.
