Former Union Ministers and Congress candidate from Ranchi lok Sabha constituency giving a slogan ‘BJP-free Jharkhand’ has said that BJP’s Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi talks of unemployment, emigration and corruption in the State, but he might not be knowing that there had been BJP governments in power since the State was carved out from Bihar.

“People of Jharkhand have tolerated corruption, unemployment and emigration during BJP’s tenure which has been in the power for maximum number of time,” said Sahay.According to Sahay, Modi might not be knowing the geography of this Country but he must know the history very well. “Modi talks about lalu Prasad in Jharkhand but forgets about Yedurappa,” added Sahay.

Sahay said that the people had given 60 months to the BJP to rule but the leaders seeking votes in the name of party have forgotten that the Parliament was attacked during their Government at the centre. Sahay said that the Congress gave Right to Information as well as education, food security and forest rights to the people of this Country.

Sahay while campaigning in the urban areas of Ranchi on Thursday also said that all round development of the people of all classes is the thinking of Congress party only and the developmental programmes being run in the Country has been started by them.

Sahay on Thursday after holding a meeting with the intellectuals and ward commissioners of the Dhurwa, also appealed for votes in his favour during election meetings at Pandara, Tharpakhna, Main Road, Hindpidhi, Harmu Housing colony, Doranda and Kusai colony.Alleging the consecutive former BJP Governments in the State, Sahay said that the UPA Government at the centre had allotted Rs3, 000 crores for the development of Ranchi, but due to the obstructions created by the BJP led Governments here, did not allow development to take place.

“For the first time in the Country, the UPA Government at the centre initiated separate programmes separately each for urban and rural areas so that the difference between the both could be removed. His wife, Rekha Sahay also campaigning for him appealed for votes in favour of Sahay said, “Struggling on the streets for the people’s cause is the identity of Subodh Kant Sahay. Only such candidate is needed in Ranchi,” she added.
