Politics delaying domicile policy: CM

Published on:

Admitting delay in making the much-awaited domicile policy public, Chief Minister Raghubar Das blamed political parties in the Opposition for that. The CM also charged them for doublespeak.

“We did meetings with social and political organisations and also with TAC on the policy. But what I felt that political parties of the State are not rising above their petty politics. They say one thing inside the meeting and something else outside. I appeal to them to get above the party based politics for the sake of the State and its interests,” said the CM on Tuesday.

While expressing his firm belief that all the political parties would come together unanimously in the larger interest of the State, the Chief Minister added that after the all-party meeting, he had instructed the Personnel Secretary to seek written suggestions from all the parties on this contentious issue so that their stand can be brought on record.
