There was an encounter between district police and the members of TPC at Sundru Champi main way near Bandua jungle of Kuru Thana area. It lasted for about two hours.
In the encounter around 50 rounds of bullets were fired from both sides. About two dozens of armed maoists fled away taking the advantages of Bandua jungle. The police discovered as many as a dozen of empty cases of the bullets from the place and also some materials of daily uses that included a charger, two mobile
phones, pocket diary, towel, slippers, bucket, axe etc. from the police side a combined team of District Police Force and Jharkhand Jaguar Force faced the Maoists in the head of Kuru Thana-in-charge Patras Nag. SP Sunil Bhaskar kept on instructing the police force from Kuru Thana during the operation. Bhaskar said to the media persons, “The extremists have gathered to execute some major untoward incident.”
