Cops to move Delhi for ex-Min’s arrest, wife claims Sao innocent
The Jharkhand Bhawan’s officials may have to do some explaining for entertaining Barkagoan MlA Yogendra Sao, who is evading arrest following a non-bailable arrest (NBA) warrant issued by a Hazaribagh court. Hazaribagh police is likely to serve notices to the officials of the State Government’s guest house situated in Vasant Vihar in Delhi, sources said.
Sao is said to have stayed at Jharkhand Bhawan till Wednesday night and officials now claim that he is not staying there any longer. However, officials of Police department are tightlipped about serving notices to the officials of the guest house. Notably, the former Minister has been a regular visitor to Delhi since his name cropped up in connection with forming extremist organisation ‘Jharkhand Tiger’.
“No, he is not here today,” said CEO of Jharkhand Bhawan, Vivek Narayan Akhouri.
The Sub-divisonal Judicial Magistrate, Hazaribagh has issued an NBA on September 16 against Sao, his brother Dhirendra Sao and cousin Pawan Sao for not turning up for interrogation into the case.
The Hazaribagh police are soon to form a team that will go to the national Capital and arrest Yogendra Sao, sources said. The controversial Barkagaon MlA has found support within the party in the form of senior leader Subodh Kant Sahay.
The former Ranchi MP defended Sao and labelled him a victim of vested interests of those, who saw Sao a threat to them. “He was against coal mafias and against the sand episode. All vested interests have implicated Yogendra,” asserted Sahay.
Meanwhile, Anita Devi, wife of Sao, was lucky on the third day since she camped in Ranchi to meet Chief Minister Hemant Soren. In a meeting with the Chief Minister at Project Bhawan, Devi urged for a thorough probe into the matter and claimed that Sao has been falsely implicated in the case. Devi was accompanied by two children and brother of the Barkagoan MlA.
“My husband is being falsely implicated so we have asked for a CID inquiry,” Devi was quoted as saying.
Noose around Sao has been tightened further as Hazaribagh police submitted the call details of the mobile used by Sao as a proof of the charges framed against him in the court of SDJM. Police has also submitted the call details of other accused Rajkumar Gupta, Dheerendra Sao, Mukesh Sao and Pawan Sao to establish their relationship.
The call details submitted by police in Hazaribagh court is in nine sheets. Sources said that on the top sheet contained details of mobile number 9431168642, the number used by the former Minister. On the first page details of calls made by the ex-Minister between May 4 to May 14, 2014 has been printed and the police has underlined 11 such calls which are made between Ex-Minister and the leader of Jharkhand Tiger Group Rajkumar Gupta, sources disclosed.
To establish the relationship between the ex-Minister and the newly formed group Jharkhand Bachao Aandolan, the police has submitted the call details of both Mukesh Sao, leader of the outfit, and the call details of Dheerendra Sao, Pawan Sao and Raju Sao, all relatives of Yogendra Sao.
Police has now requested the court to take remand of Raju Sao, a relative of Yogendra Sao, with whom his photo on a chopper has hit the media few days ago. Rajkumar Gupta has confessed that it was Raju Sao who had trained him and other members of the organisation in using weapons.
