Members of the BJP and Congress had clashed between themselves during the live interactive session organised by a private TV channel at the Dorabji Tata Park in Bistupur late last evening.

At the session, the BJP’s Jamshedpur West candidate Saryu Roy, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha’s Upendra Singh and Jharkhand Vikas Morcha’s Jamshedpur East candidate Abhay Singh were at the dais with the anchor of the private TV channel conducting the question answer session.

The programme was going on peacefully. But as Gupta arrived at the venue along with his supporters, the latter started shouting slogans in favour of the Congress candidates, triggering a reaction from the BJP supporters.

When contacted Saryu Roy, he said that they did not think it proper to lodge any FIR with the police concerned, but he said he would write to

the Election Commission and seek action.
