Jharkhand Police will take another stride towards honouring martyrs as this year’s event to honour martyrs —Saheed Samman Samaroh —will also be the occasion when the State constabulary will honour dependents of the jawans of para-military forces who sacrificed their life in anti-naxal operations in Jharkhand.
The event will be organised on October 19 at Birsa Munda Football Stadium and will help in bridging the gap between family members of martyrs of state police and senior police officials. The State police have sent invitations to Central Reserve Police Force, Border Security Force, Central Industrial Security Force and Railway Police Force.
The organising committee of the event has made arrangements to bring dependents of the martyrs to the venue and will bear cost of conveyance of people travelling from other parts of the State. The event is being funded by Public Sector Undertaking under the CSR head.
The event has been divided into two parts—first part will be a formal introduction session while the latter will showcase cultural activities.
