The special ACB court of Prakash Jha on Thursday granted permission to Ranchi police to interrogate Abhishek Dubey, Amit Singh and Nivaran Prasad Mahto in police remand.
However, the court granted only two days police remand whereas Ranchi police had sought their four days remand. The trio was arrested by Ranchi police for allegedly hatching a conspiracy to topple the Hemant Soren Government by bribing some MLAs of the ruling alliance.
Ranchi police claimed that they were arrested from a hotel in Ranchi on July 22. An FIR was lodged against them under section 419,420 124A, 120B and 34 of IPC, section 171 of PR Act and section 8 and 9 of PC act. Police alleged that they were hatching conspiracy along with some Maharashtra based BJP politicians and three MLAs had travelled to Delhi along with them to fix a deal to topple the Government.
