Police strike amity, understanding between two communities

They fought this Holi festival over DJ sound! They sat together this summer under a tree on May 14 and resolved to live in amity and with understanding. Chainpur police in Palamu struck this peace and amity deal between the two groups one of OBC people and the other of the Scheduled Caste.

SP Palamu Indrajeet Mahatha said on Tuesday that this Holi festival OBC people and dalit of Kektuwa Makni village under Purav Deeha panchayat in Chainpur police station broke peace, amity and understanding and faced actions from police which were more preventive than any punitive.

DJ sound led to this distrust, mistrust and animosity between the two communities here which was under the scanner of the police since Holi festival. However, some recent developments from the OBC side specially from just one family with regard to the use of a worship institution by dalit wherein this OBC family made a senseless statement that the worship institution is a private one and hence not open to others  alerted the Chainpur police most which decided to nip this issue of distrust and mistrust without any surgical intervention but by sedative course in which on Monday May 14 both the members of OBC and dalit were called in under a tree in the village where the two vented what they liked but when it came to round up the meeting the two resolved to live in peace, amity and with understanding added Mahatha.

The SP added the OBC family which had made a provocative statement most unmindfully oblivious of its consequences later on retracted its statement and vowed not to make any repeat of that kind of stuff which the police did not disbelieve since this family was told of the law which could have left him no where neither in society nor in neighbourhood.

He said the police here went tough and smooth when it made the gathering understand that any aberration that disturbs public tranquility is to be deal with firmly under provisions of law and played smooth when it persuaded the gathering to live a life free of tensions and problems.

The SP said the gathering did not take much time as they knew police have other ways and means to pluck out any aberrations if created or shown by any of the two OBC and dalit here against each other.

On level of alert here SP said it is uncompromised. Police vigil is up here.

The village chowkidar has been directed to give a ‘khairyat’ report of this hamlet every day to the Chainpur police station.
