Hazaribagh police has seized six kg ganja from a person named Bindu Kumar Keshari of Balumath, latehar. He was arrested by the police from Mandai Road near Remand Home. DSP Arvind Kumar Singh said that the market value of seized ganja is about 2.5 lakhs.
He said that Sadar OIC Dinesh Kumar Singh got information that a person has entered in the town with huge amount of ganja. The panther police and other jawans arrested him and seized the ganja which was in two buckets.
Bindu Keshari said that he was in need of money for treatment of his wife, a person who lives in their in-laws village Bhalua of Chauparan block gave this ganja to him to supply to Umesh Kumar of Hazaribagh who fled away from the spot.
In another case the Vishnugarh police have seized two trucks loaded with illegal coal and have arrested two persons. During general search police found that the papers of loaded coal were fake and when it was confirmed that the persons were trying to fool the police with the help of fake papers. Police arrested them and seized the trucks loaded with coal.
