The Special Investigation Team (SIT) constituted by the State Government is not leaving any stone unturned in cracking the murder mystery of District Judge Uttam Anand. Based on CCTV footage, the police have seized at least 250 autorickshaws from Dhanbad.

All the autos have been kept in the Sadar police station premises. Auto drivers and owners are upset after this action of the police. Auto drivers and owners say that many auto owners do not have complete documents.

“There has been difficulty in making auto papers due to the economic problems caused by Corona. Now that life is slowly getting back on track, the process of completing paper works is going on,” said an auto driver.

The SIT is headed by ADG Sanjay Lathkar. All the Police Officers under the leadership of the ADG inspected the spot and Randhir Verma Chowk on Sunday. During this, the Police Officers also held a round from their vehicle on the road leading to Randhir Verma Chowk which is the accident spot and then to Lubi Circular road.

Late last night the owner of the auto driver Ramdev Lohar was arrested by the Police. Lohar is also being strictly interrogated by the Police. During interrogation he informed the Police that he had lodged an FIR of auto theft in Pathardih Police Station.
