latehar police are keeping hawk's eyes on any transit of CPI Maoists' cash said sources.

Sources said the Maoists are planning to first send in their invalid notes to sympathisers for its onward transmission to those who know banking and depositing without being noticed in the urban and semi urban areas.

DSP Mahuadarn in latehar district O P Tiwary confirming this said the Maoists are too desperate to get their invalid notes consumed and for this the Maoists are hand picking their hard core sympathisers to lend a big helping hand in the consumption of their invalid notes.

Tiwary said in Mahuadarn there are some faces which are under the scanner of the police and a strong message has been sent out that any handling of Maoists cash will be met with severe actions under Criminal law Amendment Act popularly known as ClA Act.

On Monday November 14 four suspected handlers' houses alleged to be the sympathisers of the CPI Maoists were searched under Bareysarn police stations villages Jhumri, lalamatiya Paharkocha and Thantan. However the search led to no any recovery added DSP Tiwary.

Officer in charge of the Bareysarn police station Nityanand Prasad said the houses searched were not of the tribal people but were of the Yadav families. To a question if these four houses/suspected handlers have any bank account the OC Nityanand Prasad drew a blank saying this has not been ascertained. However he said this fact would be probed in such searches in future.

However this police officer said the economy on face of these four houses looked to be very modest in the range of 10,000 to 20,000 only.

This OC further said the Maoists will not drop their wisdom by reaching in the town's banks but will choose their sympathisers to get their cash consumed with the help of some people who are adept in such banking !

DSP Tiwary explaining this further said there are people (read contractors) who have worked in the jungles and in cut off areas and these are the ones whom the Maoists are looking for to bail them out fiscally in this hour of currency seizing of 1,000 and 500 denomination notes.

OC Bareysarn reiterated that consumption of cash of Maoists will pass through two poles one of petty handlers and the other versatile bank customers both under pressure or coercion of the Maoists.
