Naxal operation was aborted by the technical cell of the police in Palamu. The technical cell intercepted the meeting of sub-zonal commander of CPI (Maoist), Mao Manohar with his supporter Maharaj under Panki block. Mao Manohar had asked Maharaj to do two things for the un-paid levy on the Kendu leaves. First option is to put afire the bags of Kendu leaves of two Kendu traders Parmode and Matan. Second option is to kidnap them on Monday.
IPS probationer-cum-officer in charge of Panki police station Prashant R Anand and DSP Prabhat Ranjan Barwar in a joint Press said that the conversation between Mao Manohar and Maharaj was intercepted on Monday morning. The plan was failed and Maharaj was arrested at Teetlangi under Pipra Tarn Police Station.
