The Alzheimer struck man left his house on May 16 remained untraced for the whole night but on May 17 police found him in a drainage.

SP Palamu Ajay Linda said a request came to him to locate this Alzheimer man. It was a real difficult task but his boys did not lose heart and assured him that they would get him and they finally got him.

Linda said, “I asked SDPO Sadar Sandip Kumar Gupta  to drive his team in his search. Gupta did this. There was no nook and corner of the town where this man was not being looked for.”

Messages were flashed on the wireless system too said Linda.

Gupta said, “I put on the job my ASI of police Nabi Ansari who with his team went searching him. Ansari did not disappoint us. He got him. We all felt relieved. Our SP LInda was too happy to hear this discovery of this old man suffering from senile dementia.”

Ansari said, “I went to a dalit mohalla. I showed his photograph to a girl there. The girl called her mother who broke this news to me that there is an old man sitting in the drainage like a stone.”

Ansari said, “I went there. He looked a man from different world. All blank, hungry and exhausted. But, he was the man we all were looking for. His photograph matched with his face.”

The man’s daughter came, took him and then reached him in a big hospital there.
