Police arrested the ultras at Binglat and recovered a steel box containing Rs 1.49-crore, pistol and mobile phone from the possession.
“Preliminary investigation suggests that the money was collected as levy. The ultras who are associated with TPC accepted that they have collected this money for the outfit” said Chatra SP SK Jha.
The amount was recovered in the denomination of Rs 100, Rs 500 and Rs 1,000. A pistol and six live cartridges were also seized.
