Ranchi Police will ensure on-the-spot security to the people on the occasion of New Year revelry at the picnic spots located in the remote and lonely areas. Police said that all concerned Police Stations will also be put on alert mode to deal with any untoward incident this New Year.
“Though it has not started yet, but we will ensure proper arrangement of security forces on all the picnic spots coming into our jurisdiction along with the patrolling parties making long Range Patrolling of the area from time to time,” said SP Rural Ajit Peter Dung Dung. In addition to that local volunteers of the nearby areas are also deployed to keep a close vigil on the anti-social elements, he added.
“Deployment of forces on the picnic spots will be done after December 15 completely,” said the SP. Three waterfalls - Sita, Dasham and Jonha falls come under Ranchi district where proper deployment of forces will be done on the occasion of New Year.
Bundu DSP KV Raman also said that forces are deployed to avoid any untoward incident during the picnic season.
“We ensure that forces are deployed every year at Dasham Falls besides ensuring long range patrolling of the area from time to time,” said Raman. local bodies of around 30-35 people are also deployed on the spot who will keep a close vigil that no one gets closer to the danger zone, he added.
“Roads approaching Dasham Falls are also sanitized time to time as a precautionary measure,” said the DSP. In addition to that the Police Station will also be kept on alert mode which will act immediately in case it gets information regarding any untoward incident, he added.
