Tight security arrangements have been made in the Capital city for Diwali. In the entire city, about 1000 police officers-police force including police stations, policemen and patrol teams and additional personnel have been deployed for security. A joint order has been issued by the Deputy Commissioner and the SSP in this regard. Quick Reaction Teams (QRTs) have been constituted to deal with any untoward incident during the festival.
QRTs have been deputed at total five places i.e. Booty More, Albert Ekka Chowk, Piska More, Birsa Chowk and Chandni Chowk Kanke. Apart from this, two bike squads each have been deputed at 36 places. There will be two soldiers in each squad i.e. four soldiers in two bike squads in an area. They have been instructed to patrol. Also, on receiving any kind of information, this squad will try to control the situation by traveling there.
Police officers and forces have been deployed in all major squares and sensitive places of the city regarding Diwali. Static deputation has been done at a total of 58 places in the city. Meaning, police officers and police personnel will be present at these places at all times.
Police force has been deputed in 25 pandals of urban and rural areas for Kali Puja. Magistrates have also been deputed especially in major pandals, under which magistrates have been deputed in total 13 pandals. At the same time, magistrates have also been deputed at six immersion sites in the city. In 6 immersion sites, deputation of magistrates, police officers and police force has been done in Bada Talab, Line Tank Pond, Button Talab, Kanke Dam, Jail Talab and Karmatoli Talab.
In case of fire during Diwali, fire fighting vehicles will be deployed at 14 places in the city so that it can be brought under control immediately. These places include Piska More, Sujata Chowk, JP Market Dhurva, Booty More, Kokar Chowk, New Market Chowk, Doranda Chowk, Kantatoli Chowk, Firayalal Chowk, Argora Chowk, Chutia Police Station, Kishorganj Chowk, Chandni Chowk, Kanke Road and City Control Room. Is. At the same time, two ambulances with the necessary equipment and medicines will be deployed in the city control room besides doctors and medical teams.
