The Sadar police station-in-charge inspector Sailesh Kumar and women’s police-in-charge Rashmi Minz reached the MlA women’s college and talked with the students in continuation of Anti-Romeo drive.
Kumar said to the students, “During the college hours if any vagabonds annoy you or you are having fear of insecurity you must share with the police. You must tell all the black spots. Many of you would go in police services in future. You should not hesitate to visit police station. If you face any problem you must complain. Your name would not be revealed. The students would also be told about cyber crime soon. The goal of this anti-Romeo drive is to provide security to the girls. The girls must take inspiration from Malal Yusufjai.”
The students asked that why the drive has been given name as Anti-Romeo. Romeo is an honored character of a famous novel. Then they were told by Kumar that some people do one sided activities in illegal and uncultured way. This drive has been started to control only such type of people. The name has been given symbolically only.
The students told those places frankly to the police officers where they such people gather usually. On that the officers provided them contact number 8102603462 and 9431706220 in which they can call in any emergency.
