The Hazaribagh police has nabbed all the four named accused of the gang-rape case within 48 hours and surprisingly, three of them have been identified as wards of policemen. The main accused Dhanu Ram alias Bhunnu is son of Inspector Arjun Ram. Nitesh Kumar and Anurag Basu are also sons of policemen. Nitesh’s father is a constable while Anurag’s father is in homeguard.
After getting acquainted with this fact, now the local denizens have started looking more cautiously in this matter. On Saturday, the way Inspector Arjun Ram came to Sadar PS and talked with OIC, delay in medical examination etc. are the points in in discussions. So the challenge before Hazaribagh police is bigger now to prove itself above such types of relationships and favouritism.
